Have you ever wondered what it was like for God to be your friend? The Creator of the universe can be your friend, yes. It's hard to believe sometimes, because this world is sucha mess, and we are, too. But, He can.
I wrote this pondering how - no matter how lonely things seem - we are never alone. I hope you like it.
Crickets chirp. A lone cloud - almost with a hint of yellow, or orange, after the brilliant sunset - saunters by slowly, taking in the glorious surroundings as I take them in on the ground.
I ponder the fabulous ball of this world, my peaceful surroundings devoid of other humanity. I find myself pondering Adam’s thoughts as he looked out on the once perfect world - before sin was brought in - as I hear the lone crickets chirp, gaze in awe up at the trees, and ponder the massive expanse, this enormous ball floating in space.
The cloud inches onward, solitary, alone in a deepening blue sky, undaunted. Watched by the Lord, who has numbered the very hairs on our heads, each little sparrow meticulously numbered.
Billions like me gaze, pondering, yet perhaps too busy to comprehend that a loving Lord is following them. And I, so tiny compared to the enormity of Creation, so insignificant, yes, even I am seen, am heard, am loved, am nurtured, by my Heavenly Father. He helps me, guides me, protects me, and cares for me, just as He does any who follow Him.
It is so amazing, that in this remarkable world, no matter where I might be, there He is also, no matter how dark, no matter how far away from humanity one gets, He is there. A forever friend. An eternal, ever-loving guide.

Thinking about what that means, you can call on Him whenever you need His help with something. This goes back to the wisdom we talked about before; something that lasts forever, which can help us overcome
Overcoming requires help.Lifelike to think we can do it all ourselves, but we can't. However, the great thing is that when we trust Jesus as Saviour, we can sense the Holy Spirit working in us.
This week Canton Baptist has a message on "How to be a friend of Jesus
this Sunday, March 13; I may as well post a link now. It'll be available on Youtub later as well.
So, I know this is short, but you can be creative on your own and just talk with HIm in prayer. Remember, the first prayer He says "yes" to is the person caling on HIm in repentance - but He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek HIm. So, seek HIm, and He will reward that.
