Move Forward In God's Perfect Plan for Your Life

As I share God’s perfect plan for you, at risk of giggles from our youth, one boy-girl relationship paragraph first. It may seem challenging with this diverse list. But, one of you kids could become a doctor like one cousin. And, it’s really simple.

Take what we said before on relationships: Does it bring you closer to Jesus or further away? They should share your love for Jesus, and treat you and others with respect and love like Jesus. The difference is in friendships, you can have a best friend like Sander: Always moral; Would never lead someone to sin; Never put down my faith. He was genuinely curious after a while. Eventually, he got saved! However, a boyfriend/girlfriend, and especially a spouse, brings much more turmoil if you are with an unbeliever. The Bible clearly says not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers.(2 Cor. 6:14)

God has a perfect plan for you. He doesn’t want you to be hurt by the world’s problems. We can’t control who our family is, though like I’ve mentioned with one teen girl, lack of parents at home can make someone adopt a family. Alexis had something similar. But, we can control who we spend the most time with. We can control who influences us. Sander had lots of questions 20 years ago, like whether Jesus rose bodily from the dead. I didn’t let that hurt my faith. I calmly explained the many proofs that Jesus rose bodily from the dead, which were quite logical to him. I think he was testing thoughts on me because he knew he could trust me to tell him the truth in love without criticizing him. Now he knows Jesus rose bodily from the deag.

It’s okay to ask questions, just trust God for answers.

You’re moving forward to the future. Do you want to keep growing? Of course. Nobody wants to stay a baby their whole lives, crawling or walking very little, not going potty, etc.. We all want to grow up and do a lot. We have one family moving, period; out of state. But no matter where you go, God will be there. Even if – for whatever reason – you can’t go places. I know that might be the case with some people, especially in the snail mail list. Trust & follow His plan for you. You’re safest in the center of His will.

No matter what, you can be a dynamic prayer warrior. James 5:17 says Elijah was a man tempted like as we are. In other words, he was like you and me. He struggled with things; even probably his prayer life. But he never gave up. He didn’t let anything get him down. He prayed, and it didn’t rain in Israel for 3.5 years because of all the evil there.

The way to grow, as I’ve shared, is to pray, read your Bible and apply it to your life (thus keeping communication going between you and God), worship together (as a family if you can’t go anywhere, listen on the radio or online, like with Canton Baptist Temple’s messages), give (of time, talent, and money), and tell others about Jesus. God’s perfect plan for your life involves all of that because He wants you to be more like Him.

We do that by following Him and doing His will. His will is all those things I’ve shared in these lessons – Fruit of the Spirit, loving and forgiving one another, thankfulness, and so on. As ambassadors for Jesus, we must represent Him to a lost and dying world, and tell them how to have hope, peace, & much more, through a personal relationship with a loving God. If nothing else, we can pray- but we need to act when He leads us.
